The year is 1937, and Janine Harding is
a naturalist studying wolves and living in primitive isolation in the Bighorn
Mountains of Wyoming. Responding to what she believes is a summons from the wolf
pack, she climbs to their lair and discovers a little boy under their
protection. He doesn’t speak, yet he communicates as clearly as she does.
Meanwhile, in the year 2649, on the
planet Eridani II, Miranda Thymes is beside herself. Her son, Jordy, a special
child born mute but with amazing empathic abilities, is missing. When the
company that was teleporting him to Earth determines that a time warp caused him
to arrive 700 years too early, Miranda and her customer service representative
set out to find him and discover love along the way.
But Miranda has a problem. Jordy and
Janine have bonded and he doesn’t want to go home.
